(Office closed Mondays) \n\n\nShooters will receive on-range instruction in the finer points of skeet shooting from a Foothills Range Safety Officer. \n\nBring your shotgun and 2 boxes of 7 1/2\, 8\, or 9 size shot\, 1300 fps max. Scoring\, etiquette\, equipment\, and camaraderie will be discussed.

Bring a friend! \nThis class is designed to introduce new and beginning pistol shooters to proper safety rules and firearm techniques. This class will teach you time tested fundamentals proven by champion hand gunners. Learn to shoot in a judgment-free\, stress-free environment with emphasis placed on safety and handgun fundamentals. It is better to learn the proper way initially than to overcome years of bad habits. \nCLASS TOPICS: Safety\, Gun Selection\, Grip\, Stance\, Sight Picture\, Trigger Control\, Follow Through\, Breath Control\, and Drills. Class will be limited to 20 students. Cost is $40.00. \nYOU SHOULD BRING: Your handgun and one box (50 rounds) of ammunition. We will provide eye and ear protection\, but please feel free to bring your own if you prefer to use your own equipment. \nARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS? You must be at least 18 years old to take this class by yourself. Patrons 11-17 years of age may take the class with adult supervision. \nWHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS CLASS? Whether just beginning\, or you’ve shot a few hundred rounds\, you will benefit from this fundamentals class. Sometimes we have the tendency to get complacent in our routines. Complacency often leads to bad habits without us even realizing it. This class will give you the opportunity to have an experienced shooter give you some valuable feedback as you begin this fun\, life-long sport. \nMUST I HAVE A NORTH CAROLINA CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT BEFORE TAKING THIS CLASS? No. However\, this class may be helpful before taking a concealed carry class. \nWHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Due to a burn risk from ejected brass\, do not wear open toed shoes\, loose fitting clothing\, or low-cut tops or tank tops. You may want to wear a hat and sunscreen for range time. \nWHERE WILL THE CLASS BE HELD? Foothills Training Center-1642 Pinedale Rd. Cherryville\, NC 28021. Foothills Range-283 Fielding Road\, Cherryville\, NC 28021. Both are located off HWY 150 halfway between Shelby and Cherryville\, NC. \nAt least one day prior to coming to the class\, first time patrons must watch our safety video and submit a waiver.
