DESCRIPTION:This one hour class\, taught by Jesse Lackey–NC Skeet Shooting Hall of Famer\, will introduce you to the game of skeet. Scoring\, techniques and etiquette will be taught. Your $25 tuition includes one round of skeet and the NRA “Skeeters Guide”. Bring your shotgun\, two boxes of ammo (7.5\, 8 or 9; 1300fps max)\, eye and ear protection. If you or your spectators have not been to Foothills\, please watch our safety video and fill out the online waiver at least one day PRIOR to class.\nCall our office to register and pre-pay for this class. Class size limited to 5 persons.

SUMMARY:First Shots Rifle Class NSSF
DESCRIPTION:NSSF FIRST SHOTS RIFLE CLASS\nThis class is designed to introduce new and beginning rifle shooters to proper safety rules and firearm techniques. Learn to shoot in a judgment-free\, stress-free environment with emphasis placed on safety and rifle fundamentals. It is better to learn the proper way initially than to overcome years of bad habits.\nCLASS TOPICS: Safety\, Grip\, Stance\, Sight Picture\, Trigger Control\, Follow Through\, Breath Control\, and an introduction to scope basics. Class will be limited to 20 students. Cost is $40.00.\nYOU SHOULD BRING: Your rifle and one box (20-50 rounds) of ammunition. We will provide eye and ear protection\, but please feel free to bring your own if you prefer to use your own equipment.\nCLASS LOCATION: Foothills Training Center-1642 Pinedale Rd. Cherryville\, NC 28021. Classroom and range are both located off HWY 150 halfway between Shelby and Cherryville\, NC.\nCLASS TIME: 10am to 1pm. Classroom and Range time is included.\nARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS? You must be at least 18 years old to take this class by yourself. Patrons 11-17 years of age may take the class with adult supervision.\nWHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS CLASS? Whether just beginning\, or you’ve shot a few hundred rounds\, you will benefit from this fundamentals class. Sometimes we have the tendency to get complacent in our routines. Complacency often leads to bad habits without us even realizing it. This class will give you the opportunity to have an experienced shooter give you some valuable feedback as you begin this fun\, life-long sport.\nWHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Due to a burn risk from ejected brass\, do not wear open toed shoes\, loose fitting clothing\, or low-cut tops or tank tops. You may want to wear a hat and sunscreen for range time.\nAt least one day prior to coming to the class\, first time patrons must watch our safety video and submit a waiver. This can be done easily on our website at www.foothillspublicshooting.cc/waiver You are welcome to drop by the office to process your waiver and pay for the class ahead of time or payment may be made on class day.
