Steel Challenge Match
The Foothills Steel Challenge Match will be held the 4th Saturday of each month.
MATCH REGISTRATION:
Register online at www.practiscore.com. Your free account there allows you to view stage descriptions and diagrams in advance of the match and view scores after the match. Online registration will close on 7:30 am the day of the match. You may Walk-In to register, but your place and squad are not guaranteed. Walk-ins are accepted on a first come, first served basis until the match has reached capacity.
START TIME:
First shots-10:00 am, please arrive before 9:45 am. New shooters by 9:30am. Please watch our safety video and fill out waiver prior to match day at www.foothillspublicshooting.cc/waiver if you do not have a Foothills Range card yet.
LOCATION: 283 Fielding Road, Cherryville, NC 28021
COST: $20.00 first gun and $5.00 for each additional gun (may not be in same division)
DESCRIPTION:
The Foothills Steel Challenge match consists of 4 Stages of 5 steel targets arranged randomly at distances from 15-25 yards. The objective is to shoot accurately and quickly all five targets with a stop plate as the final shot.

EQUIPMENT:
a. Any holster that is USPSA or IDPA legal, that secures the firearm and fully covers the trigger and trigger guard. Magazine pouches.
b. 200-300 rounds of ammunition, minimum. All ammo will be checked with a magnet, no steel-core or bi-metal projectiles allowed.
SCORING:
STRING TIME: is the time taken to hit each plate in the stage. 5 strings are timed and penalties added if incurred.
STAGE SCORE: is obtained by adding the 4 fastest string times.
MATCH SCORE: is the combined total of all STAGE SCORES. The competitor with the highest Match Score is the winner. In the event of a tie, the lowest tie-breaker time will determine the winner.
TIE-BREAKER STAGE: One stage may be indicated as the tie-breaker stage.
